Director


Ângelo González is an independent filmmaker, from Portugal, with a passion for multicultural environments and documentary. Documenting Words (2012) is his first Documentary feature, after the short Documentary produced in Serbia, Women Don't Play Trumpets (2011).

Finished his Master Degree in Film Narratives in Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, Lisbon. Studied Cinema and TV Directing in Restart Creativity School and has a degree in Computer Engineering by Instituto Superior Técnico. He has been an active participant also in the non-formal education sector with many participations in the Youth in Action programme both as trainer and as participant.

Finished his European Voluntary Service in Serbia in September, where he has been for 9 months promoting anti-discrimination, tolerance and sexual education campaigns using video and photography as the main tool. Check his EVS Series here

He is also board member of NGO Associação Spin para o Intercâmbio, Formação e Cooperação entre os Povos, where he promotes the image and values of this organization with his videos and creative input in the projects.
